As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and assessments, documenting each client’s case from their initial consultation through to the completion of their treatment.
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health through a variety of diagnostic techniques, tailored to their unique situations.
• Craft and implement detailed intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that treatment strategies align with best practices and client goals.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods to promote healing and growth.
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adapting plans as necessary to address evolving needs.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to synchronize care and intervention plans.
• Follow up with medical professionals regarding clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
• Identify and proactively address behaviors or obstacles that may hinder recovery, providing support to both clients and their families.
• Assist families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental and behavioral challenges associated with their loved ones.

Our clients range from children and adolescents to adults facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will work with individuals and groups who are seeking to improve their mental health and well-being in a supportive and nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

While previous counseling experience is essential, we highly value candidates who have:

• Experience working with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure efficient and accurate client documentation.
• A background working with individuals facing both emotional and physical health conditions, as well as addiction issues.
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards and best practices.
• An understanding of the implications of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside exceptional interpersonal abilities that foster a supportive client-counselor relationship.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, employees benefit from:
