Ace Allied Psychotherapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting progress from initial consultations to treatment completion.
• Regularly assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional states to tailor effective intervention plans.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans suitable for individuals, couples, families, and groups, emphasizing personalized care.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment conducive to healing and personal growth.
• Monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to interventions as warranted.
• Collaborate closely with a team of mental health specialists, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, ensuring integrated care for patients.
• Follow up with psychiatrists and medical professionals regarding clients who require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder a client's recovery process.
• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, assisting them in navigating mental health challenges.

Your role will involve working with a diverse client base, including individuals with various mental health disorders, family dynamics, and addiction issues. You will have the opportunity to support clients from all walks of life, helping them achieve better mental health and cope with everyday challenges effectively.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure in New York as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor or therapist.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is essential for efficient documentation and client tracking.

• Experience with a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with the guidelines established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) for best practices in therapeutic settings.
• In-depth knowledge of medications prescribed by medical professionals and their potential psychological impacts.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating compassion and sensitivity in client interactions.
