Title: Network Architect with EVS to AWS migration
Location: Chicago, IL (Remote okay)
Duration: Long term
Rate: $ 60-80/hr
Key details:
* The organization must transition off Boeing-managed IT assets, with a hybrid mix of on-premise and EVS environments (final state still being defined).
* Existing data center environments are not cloud-ready and require multiple assessments, some of which are already underway.
* Due to time constraints, the immediate strategy is a "lift-and-shift" migration into EVS, without application modernization.
* The infrastructure includes VMware 7.x and 8.x, three vCenters, approximately 1,200 VMs, and around 1,000 Citrix VDIs.
* The migration will require deep networking expertise, particularly in extending Layer 2 networks into EVS while maintaining existing IP address schemes.
