Global Impact Group LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and ISO 9001 / ISO 17100 certified provider of interpretation and translation services. We deliver secure, high-quality language solutions in more than 80 languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.
We are seeking Nepali Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Nepali is a critical language for immigration and asylum cases, requiring interpreters with cultural understanding and accuracy.
Responsibilities
  • Provide real-time Nepali ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
  • Interpret accurately, neutrally, and confidentially in legal and immigration contexts.
  • Adhere to USCIS/DHS compliance and interpreter ethics standards.
  • Handle scheduled assignments as well as urgent/surge interpretation requests.
  • Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
  • Native or near-native fluency in Nepali and English.
  • 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, healthcare, or government preferred).
  • Familiarity with interpreter ethics and confidentiality requirements.
  • Excellent telephone communication and cultural competency skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
