Position Overview:

We are seeking qualified Karen Onsite Interpreters to provide in-person interpretation services in Raleigh
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate, confidential, and impartial interpretation between limited-English-proficient individuals and English speakers.
  • Interpret consecutively and/or simultaneously as required in diverse settings.
  • Adhere to professional ethics, including client confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Support clients with cultural competence and sensitivity.
  • Accurately complete daily logs, timesheets, and activity reports as needed.
Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and at least one other spoken language.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional onsite interpreting experience preferred.
  • Medical, legal, or community interpreting certification (CCHI, NBCMI, or court certification) is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and professionalism are essential.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within assigned regions in Oklahoma.
