Job description

We're seeking a Global Safety and Security Lead to design, implement, and lead our worldwide safety and security programs as we continue to scale across regions. This role will report  into the Sr. Director of Workplace and Facilities.  The key component of this role is to ensure that our offices and employees-wherever they are-operate in a safe, compliant, and secure environment that reflects our company's values and culture.

You'll work cross-functionally with Workplace, People, IT, Security, and Legal teams to develop practical frameworks that balance compliance, employee experience, and business continuity across diverse geographies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Security Management

    • Lead global physical security operations, including access control, visitor management, surveillance systems, and vendor oversight.
    • Develop and manage global security policies to protect employees, visitors, and assets.
    • Partner with IT and Information Security to align physical and digital security strategies.
    • Oversee global incident response, investigations, and reporting.

    Build relationships with local authorities, landlords, and emergency services worldwide.

Global Safety Program

  • Build and maintain global health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies aligned with local regulatory standards and company culture.
  • Lead workplace risk assessments, audits, and compliance tracking across all offices and remote setups.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness and response, including crisis communications and evacuation plans.
  • Develop and deliver global safety training and awareness programs.
  • Support local Workplace teams in establishing consistent safety standards and practices.

Business Continuity & Risk

  • Create and maintain crisis management and business continuity frameworks across all sites in collaboration with the People team and leadership
  • Identify potential global risks (natural disasters, geopolitical events, etc.) and prepare proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Provide leadership support during emergency situations, ensuring safety and continuity.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (HR, Legal, IT, Facilities) to ensure consistent global standards.
  • Provide data-driven insights and regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Promote a culture of safety, security, and well-being across all regions.
QUALIFICATIONS 
    • 10+ years of experience in safety and/or security management, ideally in a global tech or high-growth environment.
    • Up to 30% travel to offices as needed- domestically and internationally
    • Strong knowledge of international HSE regulations and global security best practices.
    • Proven experience leading distributed teams and managing third-party vendors across multiple countries.
    • Excellent problem-solving, crisis management, and stakeholder communication skills.
    • Relevant certifications (CSP, NEBOSH, OSHA, CPP, or equivalent) is a plus.
    • Skills & Abilities:
      • Strong skills in AI tools and adapt quickly to the use of those tools to enhance efciency and speed to delivery.
      • Exceptional analytical, verbal/written communications, presentation and organizational management skills.
      • Core understanding and implementation of physical security information management systems, including but not limited to digital surveillance, electronic access control, alarm management, investigations, and reporting systems.
      • Ability to be highly collaborative, work across organizations, have exibility, be forward thinking, and possess a Day 1 mindset when reviewing existing and future initiatives.
      • Prociency in all types of computer software and platforms, specically including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Ofce (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $130,000 - $195,000 USD. 

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.
