About the role In this role at Roku, we are seeking a proactive and collaborative professional with strong expertise in environment, health, and safety (EHS). Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Workplace Experience for the Americas, the Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining EHS plans and processes that ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards. This role plays a key part in safeguarding our employees, facilities, and operations. You will oversee the day-to-day management of health and safety programs and provide operational support across global teams to promote a safe and compliant workplace.
This role will be Monday - Thursday in office with the option to work from home on Friday. This role is based in Austin, TX.
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $130,000 base annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. What you'll be doing - Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and policies that comply with relevant regulations (e.g., country, OSHA, EPA, provincial/state), and company standards across regions they are responsible for.
- Serve as a regional subject matter expert for Americas (or EMEA/APAC) EHS matters, providing guidance to sites and functional teams.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
- Devise risk assessments and safety audits templates; track and report metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Site Leads, Security Operations, People, Legal, Workplace Experience, and Facilities teams to ensure safe practices are embedded across all work environments (including remote and hybrid settings)
- Monitor and communicate changes in EHS laws and regulations; ensure timely updates to internal protocols.
- Support global EHS initiatives and align programs across regions, ensuring consistency in training, reporting, and compliance systems.
- Lead contractor/vendor safety management processes and support emergency preparedness planning.
- Represent the company in EHS-related interactions with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and third-party auditors.
- Oversee company Ergonomic efforts and initiatives.
- Lead Emergency Response Team program for relevant region.
We're excited if you have
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field; Master's preferred. OR: Minimum 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 2 years in a multi-site or regional/global capacity.
- Strong knowledge of North American EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, WHMIS, CSA standards, etc.)
- Professional certification(s) preferred: CSP, CIH, CHMM, CRSP, or equivalent (including NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Experience in ergonomic risk mitigation.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive program adoption without direct authority.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with data analytics tools, safety management systems and virtual collaboration platforms.
- Comfort engaging with technical experts and translating findings into actionable business insights.
- Willingness to be part of local emergency response team
- Willingness to become a certified trainer in First Aid, CPR, and use of AED. Train and certify (or re-certify) ERT members, as needed.
- Ability for occasional travel within region/s
- This role will be based in Austin,TX and will be Monday - Thursday in office.
- Must have experience working within all Americas (US, Canada and Mexico)
