Legal Secretary/Paralegal (Remote)


Career Consulting Partners is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Legal Secretary or Paralegal to join our Business/Real Estate Litigation-focused client in a part-time, fully remote capacity. This role requires 4 hours of dedicated work each morning, Monday through Friday (approx. 20 hours per week). If you are a seasoned legal professional who thrives in a flexible, remote environment and takes pride in precision and seamless document preparation, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, format, and final-check legal pleadings, motions, and correspondence.

  • Manage and execute court filings in accordance with local court rules and electronic filing systems.

  • Accurately record and manage attorney billable hours and client invoices using legal billing software.

  • Provide general administrative and remote secretarial support to keep morning operations running smoothly.

Must-Have Qualifications:
  • To be successful in this role, candidates must possess strong proficiency in the following three areas:

  • Court Filing Expertise: In-depth working knowledge of local court procedures, deadlines, and electronic filing requirements.

  • Legal Billing Software: Proven hands-on experience with standard legal billing programs (e.g., Clio, TimeSlip, MyCase, or similar systems).

  • Advanced Word Formatting: Mastery of Microsoft Word legal formatting conventions (including table of contents/authorities, pleading templates, styles, and document clean-up).

Compensation & Schedule:
  • 20 hours per week (4 hours every morning, Monday – Friday).

  • Pay: $35 – $45 per hour, based on experience.

  • Work Setup: 100% Remote (Must have a secure, quiet home office setup with high-speed internet).
