Job Summary - Production Designer
PureCars is seeking a versatile Production Designer to join our Creative team to help serve the advertising needs of our automotive clients throughout the US and Canada. This hybrid role is responsible for producing both video and static digital advertising assets while balancing priorities across multiple projects and client needs.
The Production Designer will partner with our internal Business Development team, Account Management team, and Performance team to create hundreds of digital assets each month, including web banners, display ads, social ads, mobile ads, YouTube ads, and digital video advertisements. They will build and utilize both static and video templates to efficiently create, update, and version creative across multiple automotive brands while ensuring all work meets OEM guidelines and PureCars quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, thrives in a fast-paced production environment, and can confidently switch between video editing, motion graphics, and digital design throughout the day.
What You'll Do:
  • Create, revise, and assemble a wide variety of digital assets including web banners, display ads, social ads, mobile ads, YouTube ads, and digital video advertisements using Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Learn and understand the specific requirements for automotive OEM advertising guidelines and ensure all creative meets departmental standards and OEM compliance regulations.
  • Build, maintain, and utilize both static and video templates to efficiently produce large volumes of creative each month.
  • Utilize internal automation tools and import data into creative templates to generate large batches of static and video advertisements.
  • Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, tracking creative through production, rendering, approval, and delivery.
  • Build new templates and improve existing production workflows to increase efficiency and scalability across client groups.
  • Take direction and creative requests from internal stakeholders while incorporating client-specific branding, messaging, graphics, photography, video footage, animation, audio, and other required assets.
  • Balance priorities between video production and display design based on business needs while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Proactively communicate project updates, timelines, questions, and potential roadblocks with internal teams.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail while producing engaging, polished, and high-quality creative assets.

The Skills and Experience You Bring:
  • Prior experience creating both digital design and video content using Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and related applications, either directly for a brand or through an agency.
  • Experience designing digital advertising including web banners, display advertising, paid social creative, and video advertisements.
  • Strong understanding of composition, typography, motion design, branding, and current digital advertising best practices.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities while switching between static and video production throughout the day.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven systems for tracking projects, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience creating reusable templates and improving production workflows for efficiency and consistency.
  • Keyframe animation knowledge, including easing, timing, and motion principles, is a plus.
  • Experience editing audio, balancing levels, trimming clips, and creating polished final videos is a plus.
