Operating in a fully remote telehealth setting, this position offers flexibility and the convenience of working from home. Our virtual platform enables seamless interactions with clients while maintaining a professional atmosphere to carry out therapeutic sessions effectively. You will be equipped with the necessary tools and technologies to ensure a productive work experience, including access to electronic health record (EHR) systems designed to streamline documentation and client management.

• Conduct thorough assessments during initial client sessions to identify mental health concerns and develop tailored therapeutic plans.
• Implement evidence-based treatment techniques, actively engaging clients in individual and group therapy sessions.
• Facilitate regular follow-up sessions, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, when additional support is needed.
• Document all sessions accurately and maintain client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client cases, share insights, and collaborate on treatment strategies.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Gentle Health Balance Counseling, you will engage with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Your expertise in understanding these conditions and your commitment to cultural competency will be critical in forming effective therapeutic alliances. You will be instrumental in creating a safe and supportive environment that empowers clients to explore their emotions and work toward recovery.

• Possess a master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Hold a current and valid licensure in the state of Georgia, such as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
• Demonstrate at least four years of relevant clinical experience in the mental health field.
• Exhibit a strong understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic approaches, and ethical standards in practice.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Maintain a commitment to professional boundaries and confidentiality in all client interactions.

• Experience in telehealth counseling and familiarity with virtual platforms.
• Proven success in delivering culturally responsive and inclusive therapeutic approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and various computer applications relevant to mental health practice.
