Deeper Strength Counseling Services is actively seeking a compassionate and culturally competent Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our vibrant remote team. This role is set within a remote outpatient office, promoting flexibility while maintaining accessibility to our clients. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, although some flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate the unique needs of our patients. As part of a remote work setting, you can leverage technology and virtual platforms to deliver therapy and maintain effective communication with colleagues and clients.

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments that capture each patient's individual experiences, background, and needs, enabling the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that reflect a deep understanding of cultural considerations and are customized for each patient’s unique situation.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing varied modalities aimed at addressing mental health concerns and enhancing resilience among clients.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate comprehensive and integrative care solutions for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, utilizing strong crisis management skills to guide patients through critical situations.
• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources, fostering empowerment and informed decision-making.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical documentation while adhering to legal and ethical standards to ensure confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
• Actively participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training, contributing to the continual growth and development of the team.
• Stay informed on current research, best practices, and evolving cultural considerations impacting mental health therapy, ensuring our practice remains at the forefront of innovation.

Our practice prioritizes the mental health needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds, specifically targeting ethnic and cultural minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrant populations. You will engage with clients from various cultural contexts, which will require a strong foundation in cultural competency and empathy. Your role will directly contribute to improving health outcomes for underserved populations who may face additional barriers to accessing quality mental health care.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the State of Texas.
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, particularly as they relate to culturally diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering culturally responsive individual and group therapy.
• Strong crisis intervention competencies and the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to foster rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and associated technology, facilitating effective case management.
• Commitment to professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and maintaining therapeutic boundaries when interacting with clients.
• Proven capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve superior patient outcomes.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of mental health counseling.
• Experience working with culturally diverse populations and a demonstrated ability to provide effective therapies rooted in cultural competence.
• Prior roles that involved crisis management and intervention are strongly encouraged.
