Work Environment

This role will primarily engage with clients in a telehealth setting, allowing flexibility and convenience for both therapists and the individuals we serve. Our remote work model seeks to maintain communication and teamwork through digital platforms that facilitate regular meetings and case reviews. Our team-based approach ensures that therapists have the support they need while remaining focused on providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth and culturally-sensitive mental health assessments to gain a deep understanding of each patient’s unique circumstances and challenges.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions aligned with patients' cultural and personal contexts.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders, to promote resilient coping strategies.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support, demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving skills during emergency situations.
• Offer education to patients and their families regarding mental health challenges, treatment modalities, and resources in the community that can aid their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Actively engage in case conferences and participate in ongoing cultural competency training to enhance service delivery.
• Stay informed regarding the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy to continuously improve service delivery.

The diverse client base of Deeper Strength Counseling Services includes individuals from various cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, with a demonstrated focus on cultural competence in clinical practice.
• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy sessions using inclusive approaches that respect client diversity.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, showing an ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful scenarios.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a capacity to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems and other computer applications to streamline therapy documentation.
• A steadfast commitment to maintaining professional ethics, boundaries, and confidentiality in all aspects of practice.
• The ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment, valuing the diverse insights each team member brings.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, candidates with more extensive backgrounds in multicultural therapy or specialized areas of mental health (such as addiction, trauma-informed care, or child and adolescent therapy) will be highly valued. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy techniques is a significant advantage in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
