Healing Escape Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting our clientsโ€™ mental health journey through comprehensive evaluations, personalized treatment plans, and both individual and group therapy sessions. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment while maintaining the engagement of an outpatient office setting to ensure effective care delivery.

Work Environment

This role will be 100% remote, allowing you to conduct sessions from the comfort of your home while connecting with clients across the state. We utilize state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, to streamline documentation and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary mental health evaluations and document all relevant cases from the first consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.
  • Assess the mental, behavioral, and emotional well-being of clients, using validated assessment tools and clinical interviews.
  • Design and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, aligning treatment goals with the unique needs of each client.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities that resonate with clientsโ€™ preferences and backgrounds.
  • Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment continuum to ensure effective outcomes and timely adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively on client care cooperation with other health care providers, which may include psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to optimize client care.
  • Follow up with relevant health professionals for clients requiring in-patient care or medication management.
  • Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventive strategies that foster long-term wellness.
  • Support families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base encompasses a wide spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, and relational issues. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Healing Escape Psychotherapy Services, you will be instrumental in delivering care to individuals from varied backgrounds, accommodating their unique life experiences and cultural contexts within therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Prior experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a robust understanding of therapeutic techniques and intervention strategies.
  • Familiarity and proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
  • A strong foundation in understanding physical health conditions and their impact on mental health, including substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, alongside excellent interpersonal qualities that convey empathy and support.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
