About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft 365 Analyst to join a newly established team supporting enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 technologies, partnering with technical teams and business leaders to improve processes, implement new features, and ensure a secure, reliable environment.

Job Description

The Senior Microsoft 365 Analyst will oversee the administration, optimization, and long-term strategy of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including collaboration tools, identity management, licensing, and security initiatives. This individual will work closely with leadership teams, communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and help drive adoption of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and licensing
  • Evaluate upcoming Microsoft features and determine how they align with business objectives
  • Serve as the Microsoft 365 subject matter expert in meetings with technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and Tier III support for collaboration platforms
  • Lead root-cause investigations and implement long-term solutions to improve system reliability
  • Administer identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, conditional access policies, and permissions
  • Support security and compliance initiatives involving Microsoft Purview, data retention, eDiscovery, and related tools
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable Microsoft 365 solutions
  • Create documentation, best practices, and training materials for end users and leadership groups
  • Mentor team members and provide technical guidance as needed
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for critical issues (infrequent)

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Entra ID
  • Strong understanding of licensing and governance within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience presenting to leadership teams and business stakeholders
  • Ability to balance technical responsibilities with strategic planning

Education and experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with 15+ years of IT experience; OR
  • Associate degree with 10+ years of IT experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field with 8+ years of IT experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Microsoft Purview, compliance, and eDiscovery tools
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled productivity features
  • Experience supporting enterprise security initiatives and governance programs
  • Background working in highly regulated or large-scale environments
