Welcome to The Freelance Firm!
We are a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote, on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for our client law firms.
Due to increased demand, we are now interviewing for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Personal Injury Attorney.
Remote work hours will vary, but are expected to be approximately 10+ hours per week. While the majority of the work can be performed remotely, occasional in-person depositions, mediations, and client meetings may be required.
Attorney Responsibilities:
  • Handle plaintiff or defense personal injury matters from pre-litigation through litigation
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, demand packages, and settlement documents
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
  • Review medical records, expert reports, and case documentation
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and client meetings as needed (some may be conducted remotely)
  • Manage active caseloads and ensure compliance with deadlines
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case progress
Attorney Requirements:
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience
  • Experience handling cases from pre-litigation through litigation
  • Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and case management skills
  • Comfortable attending occasional in-person depositions and mediations
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple matters efficiently
  • Self-starter who can work independently in a remote environment
