The Customer Service Representative is the primary liaison between the patients and Providers both outside and during regular business hours. Responsible resolving issues and managing any communication between hospitals, emergency rooms, and other Providers as needed. Care is recorded and managed within the scope of the Electronic Medical Record.

This position is part-time, every other Saturday & Sunday. Business Operation is 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Employees are required to work an 8 hour shift schedule between the hours of 12 AM - 8:00 AM EST. Candidates will also be scheduled to work every other holiday. Overtime is based on business need.

We offer up to 4 weeks of on the job training aligned to your schedule.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answers all calls by greeting patients appropriately and listening actively for patient issues.
  • Follow protocols as written for correctly recording and delivering messages.
  • Provide patients with information on expected outcome of call.
  • Verify patient information and record all call information within the EMR as per written protocols.
  • Cancel appointments as per patient request.
  • Page individual Providers as needed per protocol.
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of patient, employee or financial records.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to operate the phone system, computers, and other related business equipment 
  • Ability to work every other Saturday & Sunday. Business Operation is 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule between the hours of 12 AM - 8:00 AM EST. Candidates will also be scheduled to work every other holiday.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant experience
  • 1 years of medical receptionist experience
  • 6 months of experience with working in a call center environment

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within 50 miles distance to the office at Cuyahoga Falls, OH
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
