Job description

Futures start here. Where first steps, new friendships, and confident learners are born. At KinderCare Learning Companies, the first and only early childhood education provider recognized with theGallup Exceptional Workplace Award, we offer a variety of early education and child care options for families. Whether it's KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, or Crème de la Crème, we build confidence for kids, families, and the future we share. And we want you to join us in shaping it-in neighborhoods, at work, and in schools nationwide.
At KinderCare Learning Companies, you'll use your skills and expertise to support the work (and fun) that happens in our sites and centers every day. From marketers and strategists to financial analysts and data engineers, and so much more, we're all passionate about crafting a world where children, families, and organizations can thrive.
We're looking for a productive, curious copywriter who loves turning complex ideas into clear, compelling marketing. You'll help families get the childcare support they need by creating copy that helps them understand their options, feel confident in their choices, and take the next step with us. If you're the kind of writer who loves learning quickly and wants to build a wide range of skills, you'll get a lot of reps here.
Responsibilities:
  • Turn marketing briefs into clear, persuasive, attention-grabbing, emotionally resonant, family-facing, and business-driving copy for a wide range of situations and channels, from digital work streams to print pieces, for B2B, B2C, and B2B2C audiences (yes, that's a thing here)

  • Partner with designers, marketing managers, contract writers, and cross-functional partners to write, revise, and evolve copy

  • Copyedit for brand voice, clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the brief

  • Use approved AI tools as part of the writing process, including ideation, outlining, first drafts, repurposing, versioning, editing, reading-level checks, and copy QC

  • Review, edit, fact-check, and refine AI-assisted drafts so they meet brand voice, quality, readability, and accuracy standards

  • Support contractor onboarding by sharing guidelines, resources, process notes, and style updates

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of brand marketing copywriting experience (agency or in-house)

  • Portfolio showing strong marketing writing skills, and a range of channels, audiences, tones, and formats, including B2B, B2C, and B2B2C work

  • Proven track record managing multiple copy assignments, balancing priorities, meeting deadlines, collaborating with partners, and keeping work moving with appropriate guidance

  • Comfort making progress from imperfect information, sharing work, applying feedback, and revising quickly

  • Strong editorial instincts, including attention to clarity, accuracy, voice, readability, and the details that make copy feel polished

  • Experience with and eagerness to use AI writing tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and new, yet-to-be-discovered innovations as part of a supported writing workflow

  • Familiarity with writing for digital discoverability (SEO and AEO)

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field
