PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR


We are seeking a payroll administrator who is highly motivated, independent but also a team player, looking to take on new challenges, preferably in the Las Vegas, NV region. Reporting directly to the payroll manager, the ideal candidate will be able to process full cycle payroll for 180+ employees, be savvy in payroll laws of multiple states and can resolve complex payroll matters. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of not only payroll processing accomplishments, but also be innovative, analytical with a firm and concise attention to detail for when special projects are assigned.ย

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

  • Process multi state, bi-weekly and 9/80 schedule US payroll
  • Maintain and updates payroll informationย 
  • Accurate data entry of information into the payroll system
  • Reconcile non-exempt employees' timecards
  • Track and reconcile PTO and sick balances
  • Answer payroll inquiries from employees
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies that may arise.
  • Enters Payroll Journal Entries into SAGE X3
  • Reconciles benefit invoices for accuracy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of I-9 process, rules and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with external departments and with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and critical thinking skillsย 
  • Proficient in Excel and report writing.ย 
  • Light accounting experience.ย 


Requirements

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:ย ย 


  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Basic working knowledge of common payroll laws and practices for multiples states
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, mathematics, or a related field desired and/or equivalent experience of 5+ years processing payroll.ย 
  • Experience using Paylocity, ADP WorkForce Now (required) and SAGE X3 (preferred)
