Job description

Ibotta is seeking a Director, Client Data & Measurement to join our team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. In this role, you will lead teams of managers, data scientists, analytics engineers, to deliver best-in-class scalable analytics solutions for our Clients (which include manufacturers, brands, retailers and third-party publishers) and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of developing, motivating and inspiring technical analytics talent, leveraging data to build out new and innovative analytical products and capabilities, and partnering with both technical and non-technical internal teams, stakeholders and external clients. In partnership with your cross-functional counterparts and based on Client needs, you will also be responsible for defining and executing on our Client Data & Measurement roadmap.

This position is available in multiple locations:


Denver, Colorado - if you are in or willing to relocate to the Denver area, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

Remote options are available for the following states - AZ, AR, CA, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI. If you're not in the Denver metro area or the listed states, relocation reimbursement to Denver is available.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the Client Data & Measurement team: recruiting, mentoring, coaching and developing a team of managers and analytics professionals, with a focus on building and scaling the team and offerings

  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify, define and prioritize the roadmap for delivering impactful advanced analyses and automations for clients, while driving internal projects to expand on Ibotta's revenue

  • Communicate with external clients to understand their ways of performance measurement, present our approach, and determine how our data can be best used to support program performance

  • Partner with other technical leaders on Engineering, Architecture, Product and Analytics to define and advocate for Client Analytics data and reporting priorities

  • In collaboration with internal partners, own Ibotta's promotions and media measurement solutions by conceptualizing, designing, and providing external clients industry-leading and market-defensible methodologies that power Ibotta's measurement solutions; partner cross-functionally to build scalable solutions

  • Shape and prioritize Client Data & Measurement strategy and align to organizational objectives, based on your expertise and understanding of market trends.

  • Manage, with support from your direct reports, day-to-day development & delivery of all Client Data & Measurement requests and roadmap priorities

  • Uncover automated processes to scale the business and better leverage our high-potential data asset, including proactively identifying industry trends and insights that compel Clients to invest in Ibotta. Work with peers and other business partners to introduce efficiencies for the team

  • Research industry trends and standards to stay abreast of new developments

  • Lead cross-functional teams in driving and delivering key data and analytics products and initiatives

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years experience and deep technical expertise in the media measurement space

  • 10-15+ years of experience in analytics disciplines including data science, analytics engineering, or business intelligence

  • 7-10+ years management experience

  • BA/MA in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field required

  • Experience hiring, leading and developing high-performing technical analytics talent

  • Significant experience building automated and scalable solutions to drive organizational efficiency

  • Significant experience solving complex and challenging business problems with advanced analytics

  • Experience and expertise in media measurement required

  • Experience in CPG or Retail space required

  • Confidence in presenting and communicating to senior leadership, with the ability to speak up and pushback when needed

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for client meetings and engagements

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, snacks, and occasional meals.

  • Base compensation range: $195,000 - $225,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
