Job description

Lockheed Martin is seeking a dynamic and results-driven F-35 Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager to lead a team within the F-35 Production Engineering (PE) Planning organization. This secondshift leadership role oversees the Liaison Planning team comprised of 13+ Manufacturing Planners and 1 Manufacturing Engineer; supporting Production Operations across second shift. This team coordinates closely across multiple organizations including Production Operations, MRB, Quality, as well as with their Liaison and Office Planning counterparts to establish high quality work instructions for execution of both standard and non-standard work. This team will also be responsible for executing continuous improvement initiatives to continue to improve PE processes, using KPIs to drive performance and accountability, and supporting Production Operations customers across multiple build areas.
What You Will Be Doing
Team Development: Mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Mfg Planners, Mfg Engineers, ensuring strong execution of planning initiatives.
Strategic Problem-Solving: Drive initiatives to systematically improve PE Planning processes, creating KPIs, visualization of data/metrics, and enhancing overall team efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production Operations, MRB, Quality, as well as with their Office Planning counterparts to establish high quality work instructions for execution of both standard and non-standard work.
Executive Reporting: Provide briefings and updates to leadership on the performance of our team and alignment to supporting Production Operations objectives.
Leadership: Mentor Mfg planners including partnering with HRBP, Labor Relations, and Union Stewards to address and resolve employee matters in an expedited and consistent manner.
