What is a remote manager solution engineer?

Remote Manager Solution Engineers are professionals who oversee and guide engineering teams in creating and implementing technical solutions, often working from a remote location. They manage projects, coordinate between stakeholders, and ensure that engineering solutions meet client requirements and industry standards. Their role typically involves technical leadership, problem-solving, and clear communication with both on-site and remote team members. These managers use various digital tools to collaborate effectively and maintain productivity across distributed teams.

How does a remote manager solution engineer effectively foster collaboration and communication within a distributed team?

As a Remote Manager Solution Engineering, you’ll often lead team members who are geographically dispersed. • Lead technical objection handling by addressing complex architectural, security, integration, scalability, and implementation concerns with confidence and accuracy.

  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations focused on customer-specific use cases and business outcomes.

  • Design and develop proof-of-concept environments, prototypes, and technical validations that reduce customer risk and accelerate purchasing decisions.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Sales.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on AI, AI agents, APIs, webhooks, integration platforms (iPaaS), automation, cloud architectures, and enterprise commerce ecosystems.

  • Ensure seamless transition from presales to implementation by documenting technical requirements, solution designs, architectural decisions, integrations, assumptions, and customer expectations.

What you will like likely bring:

  • Expert knowledge of enterprise solution architecture, cloud applications, APIs, event-driven architectures, web services, integration platforms (iPaaS), and enterprise software ecosystems.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and executive engagement skills.

  • Creative, pragmatic problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

What will set you apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise software presales, solution engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles.

  • Experience within Retail, Automotive, Commerce, ERP, POS, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, or related enterprise software industries.

  • Knowledge of omnichannel retail, eCommerce ecosystems, payments, order management, logistics, warehouse operations, delivery management, returns management, and complementary commerce technologies.
