FRM Mail Contracting is a trusted logistics and mail contracting company committed to providing reliable transportation, distribution, and operational support services. We value accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork, and we are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Payroll Assistant to support our payroll operations and help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

As a Remote Payroll Assistant, you will work closely with the Payroll and Human Resources teams to process payroll, maintain employee records, verify timesheets, and ensure compliance with company policies and payroll regulations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, possesses excellent organizational skills, and thrives in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Review employee timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy.
  • Enter and update employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and pay adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records while ensuring confidentiality of employee information.
  • Assist with payroll tax deductions, benefit deductions, garnishments, and direct deposits.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, tax forms, and payroll policies.
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll records as requested.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and payroll audits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized electronic payroll files and documentation.
  • Perform additional administrative and payroll-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate#39;s or Bachelor#39;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll procedures and employment regulations is an asset.
  • Experience using payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll, or similar systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll information.
