Summary
Delivers and develops access, revenue cycle, and software process training to LVHN colleagues. Identifies and analyzes gaps in performance and works with operational leads in order to recommend action plans and training solutions. Tailors curriculum delivery to solve complex computer navigation problems utilizing e-learning activities, instructor-led training, and web page development.
Job Duties
  • Delivers access, revenue cycle process, and software training to colleagues while adding helpful examples or info to encourage recollection of the materials. Delivers training via multiple modalities such as instructor led training (live or remote) or e-learning activities.
  • Develops customized educational materials and teaching plans utilizing multiple platforms such as the organization's learning management system or webpage. Ensures curriculum adheres to compliant billing standards which includes planning, preparation, and creation of materials for EMR system go live and upgrades.
  • Serves as a resource and works skillfully with colleagues which includes managing insurance and registration helpdesk line by responding to inquiries from registration staff within 48 hours.
  • Maintains knowledge of access and revenue cycle workflow, insurances, and curriculum
  • Collects, analyzes, and troubleshoots data and operational problems that pertains to the access and revenue cycle. Identifies gaps and initiates process improvement workflows and more efficient processes.
  • Performs internet searches for payer information and reads and analyzes multiple sources for relevant content to present to colleagues as it pertains to the revenue cycle.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Healthcare, Business, Communications or related field. High School Diploma with post secondary education and 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 3 years experience in healthcare patient access or revenue cycle and
  • prior training, teaching or education experience.
  • Ability to manage the education phases of the revenue cycle initiatives.
  • Knowledge of workflow analysis, lean methodologies, and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows and the healthcare industry.
  • Must work effectively in demanding and rapidly changing environments.
  • Flexible with technology and the ability to learn new software systems quickly (including remote training modules).
  • Pays high attention to details and level of learners involved.
  • Must remain current with the technologies identified for use in adult education.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite, including Publisher.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of department/division function and work process is preferred.
  • Knowledge of educational systems and webpage build.
  • Working knowledge of current EMR.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
