Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team and help transform access to care for women across their lifespan.

Supported and empowered by the Outpatient Clinical Team Lead, the Mental Health Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality care to clients in alignment with Mamaya Health's mission and values. You will work within established policies and procedures, embrace supportive accountability, and uphold the organizations commitment to providing life-giving mental healthcare while contributing to a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

Job Duties + Functions

  • Engage with clients for individual, couples, or family outpatient therapy sessions on a weekly/biweekly/monthly basis.
  • Complete a comprehensive onboarding, including completion of maternal mental health foundation course. Collaborate with Team Lead and participate in meetings with administrative support to support best practices and compliance.
  • Maintain a caseload to support a minimum of 12completed sessions per week
  • Maintain an individual book of business, ensuring clarity in communication of caseload availability and scheduling needs, maintaining current active clients, and assuring accuracy and clarity regarding frequency of client engagement.
  • Maintain a proactive role in caseload and KPI management and awareness of needs and trends regarding client engagement, cancellations, and length of service.
  • Provide mental health data tracking and utilize measurement based care via assessments consistently in every session.
  • Submit timely documentation within the timeframe set forth by Mamaya Healthto ensure client charts are up to date and complete.Perform Clinical Intake, provide diagnoses, collaboratively create treatment plans, provide ongoing care, and complete all processes for discharges.
  • Maintain client collaboration with team members on clients care team - i.e. medication provider, PCP, OB-GYN, dietitian, other therapists, etc.; and clients family members.
  • Participate in marketing and outreach efforts as needed, collaborating with Mamaya Health team for social media, website, and other activities to support client acquisition.
  • Engage in timely communication with Mamaya Health staff and respond to email/chat within 2 business days, or faster depending on urgency of need.
  • Regularly attend and participate in monthly small team meetings, quarterly all-staff meetings, monthly 1:1 meetings with Team Lead, and any additional supervisory meetings with Team Lead or Senior Clinical Leadership.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field.
  • Independently licensed (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, etc) in the state of Texas
  • Prior experience in outpatient, intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization, or residential treatment settings.
  • Experience working with womens and maternal mental health topics preferred
  • Experience working with kids and families preferred
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to inclusivity and cultural humility.
