Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As an LPC with Summit Behavioral Health Resources, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of patients.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address trauma recovery and promote resilience, ensuring these plans are continually refined based on patient progress.
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping patients with coping strategies and enabling them to process their trauma in a safe environment.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to comprehensive patient care.
• Providing crisis intervention and guidance during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive immediate support when needed.
• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them in their healing journey.
• Recording and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all patient information is kept confidential.
• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities targeted at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
• Staying informed of the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to provide the best care possible to your clients.

Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position will possess:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid LPC licensure in the state of Texas.
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, along with basic computer applications necessary for telehealth services.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated through a compassionate and non-judgmental approach with clients.
• The ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations.
