Working remotely, they use online platforms, databases, and networking strategies to find qualified candidates for short-term roles. Their responsibilities may include screening applicants, conducting initial interviews, and maintaining a pipeline of potential locum staff to meet the fluctuating needs of healthcare providers. This role is essential for ensuring hospitals and clinics have access to skilled professionals to fill gaps caused by staff shortages or increased patient demand.

How does a remote locum talent sourcer typically collaborate with recruiters and healthcare facilities to ensure successful placements?

They proactively source and screen potential locum candidates, often using databases, social media, and professional networks, before presenting qualified leads to recruiters for further assessment. Regular communication and feedback loops are essential to align on priorities and improve sourcing strategies, ensuring that placements are timely and fit the facility's standards. Collaboration is usually managed through virtual meetings, shared tracking tools, and coordinated workflows to keep all parties informed throughout the process.

Job description

Talent Sourcer

Remote | STRM Recruiting

I'm looking for a Talent Sourcer to join me at STRM Recruiting.

This isn't a high-volume recruiting job where you're expected to blast out hundreds of messages a day or spend your time buried in spreadsheets.

This is an opportunity to partner with a growing recruiting business that takes pride in doing things the right way building real relationships, representing clients well, and finding exceptional people for great companies.

STRM is a small recruiting firm based in Portland, Oregon. I started the company because I genuinely love recruiting.

I enjoy learning about businesses, understanding what makes a great hire, and connecting talented people with opportunities that can change their careers.

I'm looking for someone who feels the same way.

Who This Role Might Be Perfect For

  • An experienced recruiter who is currently between roles and wants meaningful recruiting work while searching for their next opportunity.
  • A recruiter who enjoys sourcing and wants to earn an additional $2,000–$4,000+ per month on the side.
  • Someone who loves the hunt, enjoys uncovering hard-to-find talent, and gets excited when a hiring manager says, "This is exactly who we were looking for."
  • A person who is trying to come back to the work force and wants to learn a new skill!

What You'll Do

  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter to identify and engage high-quality candidates.
  • Build talent pipelines for a variety of positions across multiple industries.
  • Partner directly with the founder to understand search strategies and hiring priorities.
  • Create targeted candidate lists and sourcing campaigns.
  • Help deliver exceptional talent to some really amazing companies.

What Success Looks Like

You're not measured by activity for activity's sake.

Success means consistently finding talented people, uncovering hidden gems, and helping our clients make great hires.

Compensation

This is a 1099 contractor position.

Compensation is simple:

You will earn 30% of the placement fee STRM receives for placements resulting from your sourcing efforts.

The more successful placements you help create, the more you earn.

Location & Schedule

  • 100% Remote
  • Hours are flexible and will be aligned together once onboarded
  • Work when you're most productive

What I'm Looking For

  • Previous recruiting and sourcing experience
  • Strong LinkedIn Recruiter skills
  • Ability to identify high-quality talent and think creatively about where to find candidates
  • Professional communication skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys recruiting

A Final Thought

There are plenty of recruiting jobs out there.

What I'm offering is a chance to partner with a small business that values relationships, quality work, and doing right by both clients and candidates.

If you love sourcing, enjoy helping people find great opportunities, and want to build something meaningful while earning additional income, I'd love to talk.

Send me a message and tell me about your recruiting background, the types of searches you've worked on, and why this opportunity interests you.
