How can I make 2000 a week working from home?

To earn $2000 weekly working remotely, individuals often need to secure high-paying freelance or contract roles, develop specialized skills such as programming, digital marketing, or consulting, and build a strong client base. Consistent income at this level typically requires a combination of experience, efficient time management, and leveraging online platforms or networks to find well-compensated opportunities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote LMIA Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote LMIA Specialist, you need a strong understanding of Canadian immigration laws, employment standards, and experience with LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) application processes, often supported by relevant certifications or paralegal/legal assistant training. Proficiency in case management systems, document management software, and government immigration portals is typically required. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for coordinating with employers, applicants, and government officials remotely. These abilities ensure accurate, timely submissions and compliance with regulatory requirements, which are essential for successful LMIA outcomes.

How can I get an LMIA job offer from Canada?

To obtain an LMIA job offer, an employer in Canada must apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment to demonstrate the need for a foreign worker. Once approved, the foreign worker can use the LMIA to apply for a work permit, often requiring relevant skills, experience, and sometimes language proficiency. The process involves employer compliance and adherence to Canadian immigration regulations.

What is a Remote LMIA?

A Remote LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) refers to an LMIA process used by Canadian employers who want to hire foreign workers for remote or work-from-home positions. An LMIA is a document that an employer in Canada may need to obtain before hiring a foreign worker, proving that there is a need for a foreign worker and that no Canadian worker is available for the job. For remote roles, employers must still follow the same government requirements, including demonstrating genuine business need, fair wages, and adherence to labor standards. The 'remote' aspect simply means the employee will work from a location outside the employer’s physical office, which could even be outside the employer’s province in Canada. The process ensures that remote jobs offered to foreign workers meet Canadian standards and labor market needs.

How to make $1000 a week remotely?

Remote LMIA jobs typically pay based on the role, experience, and hours worked, with some positions offering $20-$50 per hour. To earn $1000 weekly, one might work 20-50 hours at competitive rates or take on multiple projects or clients. Developing skills in high-demand areas like IT, digital marketing, or consulting can increase earning potential in remote roles.

Can a US citizen work remotely for another country?

A US citizen can work remotely for another country if they comply with that country's employment laws and visa requirements. Employers may also need to consider tax obligations and work authorization rules for international remote work. It is important to verify legal and tax implications before working remotely across borders.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote LMIA Specialists, and how can they be addressed?

Remote LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) Specialists often face challenges such as coordinating effectively across time zones, managing sensitive documentation securely, and maintaining clear communication with both employers and government agencies. To address these, it's important to establish strong digital organization systems, utilize secure file-sharing platforms, and schedule regular check-ins with clients and team members. Being proactive about understanding changing immigration regulations and leveraging collaborative tools also helps ensure smooth workflow and successful application outcomes.

Job description

About Us

We are a highly profitable, fast-growing healthcare startup—a small and mighty team of 230 helping people find and enroll in individual health coverage. To date, we've helped over 20 million people enroll in health coverage. We're a mission-driven team that advocates for and cares deeply about the people we serve.

We're a double bottom-line company: revenues and enrollments. The ACA brings high-quality, comprehensive, affordable health coverage within reach for low-income Americans, and we exist to make that promise a reality. Your contribution will help millions of people navigate the complex and confusing health insurance industry and enable them to access health care when needed.

We are committed to building a team that is well-balanced in representation to best serve the people who use our products. We believe in creating inclusive and equitable spaces that build trust and respect and foster a sense of belonging. These values are at the core of our culture and will continue to lead our organization to successful outcomes.

HealthSherpa is a fully remote company and was recognized as a 2026 Best Remote Place to Work by Built In, reflecting our commitment to building a people-first culture rooted in trust, flexibility, and impact.

About The Role

We are looking for individuals with experience providing detailed troubleshooting assistance, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills to join our Agent Support team for a seasonal contract opportunity. You will be fully remote and you will need reliable internet access for the duration of the role. Joining HealthSherpa will give you the opportunity to gain expert level knowledge within the health insurance industry. You will report to a Supervisor on your team and work with us through the end of December 2026. There is a possibility of a term extension into January 2027 if Open Enrollment is extended.

Please note we are only hiring employees in Florida, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia.

You Will
  • Spend your day in a queue taking calls from insurance agents across the country
  • Learn about the ACA enrollment process to help insurance agents navigate our platform to enroll their clients in insurance coverage
  • Help agents troubleshoot the platform and answer questions about applications and referrals
  • Follow support protocols while providing thoughtful service, balancing efficiency and empathy on every call
  • Support with other related tasks as needed
You Have
  • Residency in Florida, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia
  • Previous customer service experience
  • 3+ years of combined education, work, or volunteer experience
  • Strong collaboration and multitasking abilities with the ability to thrive in team settings where open communication and constructive feedback are encouraged
  • A dedicated space to work remotely that has room for a desktop monitor and other provided equipment
  • A work space that is free of background noise and distraction to provide information privacy
  • Reliable home internet with download speed exceeding 128Mbps
What We Offer (Seasonal Employees)
  • Fully remote employment
  • Hourly wage: $16 ($18 for bilingual in Spanish)
  • Computer and equipment for the duration of the role
  • Monthly internet stipend
  • Paid training
  • Overtime opportunities
What We Offer (Full-time, Not Temporary/Not Seasonal)
  • Remote-first company (US-based remote only)
  • Great compensation package at a high-growth, profitable company
  • Excellent benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental coverage for you, your spouse, and dependents
  • HSA/FSA options with corresponding contribution limits
  • Monthly grocery stipend and home internet reimbursement
  • 401K w/ a match after a grace period
  • Life and AD&D coverage
  • Disability insurance (Short and Long Term)
  • Parental leave
  • Four (4) weeks of paid vacation in addition to paid holidays
  • Home office budget for remote team members
  • Mental health and other wellbeing support programs through a partner network

As an organization, we value creating an inclusive and accessible experience. If you require reasonable accommodations during the application or interview process, please let your recruiter know.

We welcome and encourage people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, identities, abilities, and perspectives to apply. We are an equal-opportunity employer and a fun place to work. Come join the team at HealthSherpa!
