TheField Service Engineeris responsible for customer satisfaction in all aspects of the job including increased throughput, decreased downtime, regular Preventive Maintenance, and regular upgrades. This person will be a clear advocate for the customer (internally and externally) and a steward for the company.

This positionreports to theDistrict Managerandis part of theBeckman Coulter Life Sciences Service Team - Great Lakes Region. The position will be remotely/centrally located in Rochester, NY, requiring regional travel serving: North Central NY, Western PA, OH, IN, Northern KY. Additionally, you may be called upon to support the efforts of other regions as needed.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Service Beckman Coulter products at the customer facility.
  • Cultivate customer relationships and support commercial initiatives.
  • Drive a sense of urgency to ensure the customer needs are addressed promptly with an emphasis on a "first time fix" through the problem-solving process.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, life science, or equivalent military experience.
  • 1+ year of experience problem solving, diagnosing, or troubleshooting challenges with instrumentation using a variety of methods.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to commute onsite to customer facilities within assigned territory.
  • Overnight travel 25% - 60%. Ability to occasionally lift, lower, and move up to 50 lbs. (tools, replacement parts, consumables, etc.).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Prior laboratory or field service experience
  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment

The hourly range is $31.00 - $36.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
