As a Manager on the Life Sciences R&D team, you will be responsible for...

  • Leading client engagements focused on research and development, quality, and business transformation initiatives
  • Managing project workstreams, timelines, deliverables, and day-to-day coordination across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Assessing current-state processes and operating models and developing recommendations for improvement and execution
  • Translating business objectives into actionable implementation plans, governance structures, and performance measures
  • Supporting business development efforts through proposal development, client presentations, and practice-building activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences or related field
  • 6+ years relevant experience
  • 4+ years of Life Sciences industry experience, with significant experience in the Clinical domain to include:
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
    • Experience introducing new technologies such as GenAI/AI/ML and automation into existing drug development and business processes
    • Experience with clinical operating model transformations
    • Experience with evaluation of business processes related to drug development, including workflows, key activities, inputs, outputs, and interdependencies
    • Experience analyzing clinical processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas where improvements can be made and redesign processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize cycle times for drug development projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Experience leading, managing and delivering complex consulting engagements with resources in multiple locations
  • Techno-functional knowledge of clinical data flow, data architecture, and data mapping
  • Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams, ensuring successful implementation of customer projects
  • Experience in clinical analytics
  • Experience with solutions for data-driven trials and clinical development insights, e.g., site burden, patient burden, study feasibility, site selection, patient recruitment and retention
  • Knowledge of clinical data mapping, processing, use cases
  • Clinical study design functional experience
  • Data Management experience
  • Data Standards experience / knowledge
  • Techno-functional knowledge of clinical data flow, data architecture, and data mapping
  • Experience with medical writing
  • Knowledge of the clinical content supply chain management
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment


The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $155600-$306800
