Position Summary
The Specialty Loan Advisor (SLA) manages a portfolio of Business Purpose Loans (BPLs) in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. This role is ideal for professionals who take ownership of their pipeline, thrive in high-volume servicing, and deliver strong customer outcomes through an advisory approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of Business Purpose Loans by providing consistent, high-quality servicing and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve in an advisory capacity to customers, providing guidance tailored to their unique business needs.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, as well as email and text communications, to support clients, attorneys, and authorized third parties.
  • Perform moderately complex administrative, transactional, and operational tasks including research, analysis, and documentation.
  • Generate reports and analyze data to support strategic initiatives and improve customer outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and investor requirements.
  • Leverage systems and tools to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong customer experience.
  • Meet and exceed production goals (KPIs), with high performers recognized through increased autonomy and flexibility.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve escalations and improve servicing effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in mortgage servicing, contact center, or related roles.
  • Working knowledge of Business Purpose Loans (BPLs).
  • Strong understanding of escrow, billing, payment histories, and 1098 statements.
  • Experience with cross-collateralized servicing and partial lien releases.
  • Knowledge of property preservation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong advisory and relationship management skills.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4+ years of related experience preferred.

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook).
  • Experience with MSP, Black Knight/LPS, or Sagent preferred.
