Job description

Write for our enterprise-level tech clients! Elite Editing is seeking a seasoned freelance tech writer with several years of experience and the ability to work flexibly across multiple clients with varied style guides and preferences. This freelancer will craft customer-centric, technology-focused marketing materials for our Fortune 500 tech clients.

Technical writers work with our team to create customer stories, case studies, and thought leadership content. Responsibilities of a tech writer Move between detailed and varied style guides from our clients, incorporating Chicago Manual of Style, 18th Edition, AP style, or others where required. Write engaging, on-brand case studies and blog posts in line with a client-specific style guide.

Research technical topics and industries when necessary. Complete deliverables including 1- and 2-page customer-reference case studies, technical blog posts, assets for social channels, and various add-ons like PowerPoint presentations. Collaborate with internal teams to follow and improve relevant processes.

Incorporate changes to drafts based on stakeholder feedback. You'll be at the top of our list if... You can pivot easily between the different styles and needs of various clients You are able to pick up style guides and processes quickly and learn as you go You have considerable writing experience of several years in tech or IT-related writing and/or journalism You are comfortable writing customer stories, case studies, and thought leadership pieces You have prior agency experience and an understanding of agency/client relationships; you won't be coordinating or managing content approvals, but familiarity with that process is valuable Time commitment and rates Availability of up to 30 hours a week for writing.

Availability to respond to work offers within 24 hours. Pay varies based on experience, skill, and assignment. Higher pay rates are available for expedited work.
