Tax & Research Manager (100% Remote)

Do you find energy in untangling complex tax questions and turning them into actionable insights? This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys digging into research, shaping client strategy, and supporting industries that make a difference - like renewable energy. If you thrive in a collaborative setting where mentorship, problem-solving, and clarity are valued, this could be your next step.

We’re looking for a Tax & Research Manager to join a growing team, bringing both technical expertise and leadership skills to the table.

What You’ll Do
  • Research federal and state tax issues and prepare clear, practical documentation for both clients and colleagues.

  • Partner with clients to optimize tax positions while ensuring compliance and readiness for changing regulations.

  • Review complex returns across individuals, corporations, and partnerships, ensuring accuracy and insight.

  • Provide mentorship to staff by answering technical questions and supporting their professional growth.

  • Contribute to the development of firmwide tax policies, quality standards, and best practices.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

  • CPA or EA designation preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting with a strong tax foundation

  • Demonstrated ability in technical tax research and clear, persuasive writing

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics

Perks & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience

  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, life, and disability coverage

  • 100% remote work environment
  • 401(k) with firm contributions

  • Paid continuing education, CPA exam support, and licensing fees

  • Generous paid time off, holidays, and firmwide annual retreat

  • Opportunities to participate in team-building events and internal committees

This is more than a research role - it’s a chance to build your expertise, shape client strategies, and grow within a firm that values balance, mentorship, and long-term success.
