Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, highly capable professional to join our Corporate Development team. The Corporate Development group is responsible for leading Porch's acquisition activity, driving enterprise-level business development, and executing critical strategic initiatives across the organization - all under the direct leadership of the VP, Corporate Development, who reports to the CEO. This is a high-impact individual-contributor role that sits at the intersection of M&A, business development, and corporate strategy, offering direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape Porch's long-term growth trajectory. The Senior Manager's primary emphasis will be leading the integration of newly acquired companies and ensuring Porch maximizes value through M&A. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and is passionate about solving meaningful business problems with wide latitude.
What You Will Do As A Senior Corporate Development Manager
  • Source and screen potential acquisition targets, developing well-reasoned points of view on strategic and financial fit.
  • Support due diligence workstreams and coordinate cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations) to drive deal execution from term sheet through close.
  • Create detailed project plans for acquisition integrations, with clear identification of resources, dependencies, risks, and milestones.
  • Drive integration project plans with clear goals, operating mechanisms, and regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist in building an integration toolkit and framework that can support a high volume of M&A activity.
  • Contribute to enterprise business development efforts, including pipeline building and managing partner relationships.
  • Lead targeted strategy projects from scoping through execution, with guidance from the VP, Corporate Development.
  • Leverage company-provided tools, systems, and AI technologies to support daily work, staying current on new tools as they are introduced.

What You Will Bring As A Senior Corporate Development Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (required); MBA a plus. Or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in M&A, partnerships, or business development, with Property and Casualty Insurance industry experience strongly preferred - home services, utilities, or B2B SaaS experience also valued.
  • 2-4 years of directly related M&A integration experience in a matrixed organization supporting multiple functions.
  • Proven program management skills to organize and manage large-scale, complex projects, including M&A, organizational change, operational restructuring, business process redesign, and systems implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating acquisition opportunities (both strategically and financially) and managing day-to-day execution of transactions (required).
  • Track record of driving results on critical initiatives over a sustained period of time (12+ months) (required).
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with expert-level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Clear, concise, and persuasive written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity and operate with wide latitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience building enterprise business development pipelines and early-stage relationships (preferred).
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environment (preferred).

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member
Pay Range*: $138,800 - $194,300 annually
*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.
Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
You will also be eligible to receive an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
