Legal Operations Manager
Location: Seattle, WA 98101 (On-site)

Position Summary

The Legal Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the office, supporting attorneys in delivering a high-quality client experience. This leader is responsible for operational performance, workflow efficiency, budgeting oversight, and initiatives that enhance attorney productivity and client satisfaction. The role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership experience within a legal services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Attorney & Team Support

  • Partner closely with attorneys to support case management and client service activities

  • Ensure attorneys have the operational resources and logistical support needed for hearings and proceedings

  • Maintain strong working relationships with legal teams and clients

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and mentor associates supporting attorneyโ€‘led matters

  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and facilitate ongoing training

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives

Client Experience

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients throughout their case lifecycle

  • Review and respond to feedback to ensure timely and responsive service delivery

  • Proactively resolve service challenges and elevate legalโ€‘specific matters when needed

Operational & Financial Management

  • Oversee daily office operations including workflow efficiency and resource allocation

  • Partner with Finance on billing, invoice questions, writeโ€‘offs, and expense control

  • Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to support business goals

Business Support & Growth

  • Collaborate with leadership on attorney business development initiatives

  • Support events, workshops, training programs, and relationshipโ€‘building activities

Facilities & Technology Support

  • Coordinate with facilities and building teams to maintain a professional work environment

  • Provide basic A/V and videoโ€‘conferencing setup support with remote IT assistance when needed

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree

  • 4+ years of experience in legal operations, office management, or professional services leadership

  • Understanding of legal terminology, case workflows, and client expectations in a legal setting

  • Experience supporting attorneys or legal teams

  • Strong communication and relationshipโ€‘building skills

  • Proficiency with Zoom, A/V systems, and technology tools

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastโ€‘paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in ADR, litigation support, or legal office operations

  • 12+ years in a legal support or operational role (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $105,000 โ€“ $142,000 annually (based on experience and local market conditions)
