Work Environment

This position offers flexibility through remote work, allowing for a strong work-life balance while still making an impactful contribution to student mental health. Telehealth services ensure that you are equipped to deliver care from the comfort of your home while maintaining critical connections with students, families, and educators. The position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend availability to meet the needs of our students and their families. Some on-call availability may also be required to assist during urgent mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify issues affecting students with special needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique challenges of each student.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and ADHD.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, speech and occupational therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic care that integrates academic and therapeutic support.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
  • Educate students and families about mental health conditions and resources to enhance understanding and foster collaboration.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities to ensure best practices in service delivery.
  • Stay informed about current laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines relevant to mental health counseling.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position will be on students within our Special Education Program, many of whom experience challenges related to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and trauma. Your expertise will not only aid in addressing their mental health needs but also support their academic achievements and facilitate their integration into the school community.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Colorado.
  • Two years of post-licensure experience preferred, particularly in school or educational settings.
  • Deep understanding of mental health disorders and trauma-informed care approaches.
  • Expertise in conducting mental health assessments and developing targeted treatment strategies.
  • Experience in delivering individual and group therapy utilizing a variety of evidence-based methods.

Compensation and Benefits
