Department: UCHlth Patient Line Referrals

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days 

Pay: 20.15 - 30.22 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

Review and submit referral orders, track their status, and provide updates while maintaining accurate EHR documentation and following payer guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Manage referral orders for multiple service lines by reviewing for completeness, submitting requests, and tracking status to ensure timely processing. 

Communicate with internal teams and payers to provide referral order status updates and support routine coordination activities. 

Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records, ensuring all referral order activities are properly documented in compliance with confidentiality requirements. 

Follow established payer policies and authorization guidelines to ensure accurate referral order processing and tracking. 

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED. Preferred: Associate's degree. 
  • Preferred 6 months' experience in healthcare.
