Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of children’s developmental and emotional needs.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) tailored to each child's unique requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress while actively collaborating with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to promote effective outcomes.
  • Offer support, education, and resources to families to empower them in enhancing their child’s development.
  • Adhere to all relevant Federal and State regulations to ensure compliance and ethical practice.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices that incorporate Natural Learning Environment Principles during interactions and interventions.
  • Build strong relationships with children and families to create a nurturing and responsive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on young children experiencing disabilities or developmental delays, and their families. You will engage with a diverse client population, ensuring that each family receives personalized care and attention based on their individual circumstances. By employing a family-centered approach, you will help children learn essential skills during critical developmental phases, addressing physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication aspects.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a Doctorate in Social Work.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW by the Department of Public Health in Connecticut.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for occasional travel if necessary.
  • One year of experience working with children in early intervention settings.
