Job description

About Airdev For many decades, building custom software meant writing thousands of lines of code. Today, thanks to visual development platforms and AI, high-quality products can be built faster, cheaper, and mostly without writing code. Airdev is the world's first and largest agency that specializes in this approach, helping clients from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 enterprises turn their ideas into powerful, scalable software.

Account Director role We're looking for an Account Director to own relationships across a portfolio of clients, making sure that our clients are happy while working towards a successful commercial outcome. You'll work with clients who come to us through our inbound pipeline, companies that have already identified a need and want help building software. You'll also do some outbound prospecting, particularly as you develop expertise in specific industries or use cases where you see opportunity.

Your job is to understand what clients are trying to accomplish, shape engagements that set them up for success, and ensure they get lasting value from working with us. You'll partner closely with our product managers, designers, and developers, but you won't be managing day-to-day delivery. Instead, you'll focus on the bigger picture: Are we solving the right problem?

Is the client getting what they need? Where can we help them next? What you'll do Lead discovery conversations with prospective clients, understanding their business goals and translating them into clear project requirements Shape proposals that outline approach, scope, timeline, and investment, balancing client needs with what's realistic to deliver Develop outbound opportunities in verticals or niches where you see potential, building relationships before there's an active project need Serve as the strategic point of contact for your clients throughout their engagement, ensuring they feel supported and informed Work closely with delivery teams to make sure projects stay aligned with what was promised and flag issues early Identify opportunities to expand relationships, whether that's additional phases, new projects, or ongoing retainers Build genuine, long-term partnerships where clients see you as a trusted advisor, not just a vendor contact Things we look for 3-5 years of experience in a client-facing role at a software development agency or digital consultancy A track record of building strong client relationships and growing accounts over time Comfort with commercial conversations.

You're not afraid to talk about money, scope, or tradeoffs. Enough technical fluency to be credible when discussing software projects, even if you're not a developer Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You can translate between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Self‐directed and organized. You thrive in a remote environment where you manage your own time. Genuine enjoyment of client work.

You find it energizing, not draining, to navigate relationships and solve problems for people. Why work at Airdev?
