Job description

Company Description

We were early to the fight against Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance and we’ve been pushing the edge ever since.

Our mission is to help government and enterprise organizations understand and manage commercial data risks, shape their digital signatures, and operate with confidence in an increasingly complex information landscape. We build and integrate advanced, tech-forward solutions to problems our customers often don’t know they have – until it matters most.

We move fast, think critically, and deliver where it counts.

What’s in it for you?

We work hard and do fun things.

You’ll work on high-impact, technically challenging problems alongside a team that values teamwork over competition. Veilant offers a solid work-life balance and flexible remote work options. At Veilant, you’ll work with the most talented software developers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts, building tools and systems that make a real difference.

Job Description

System High a Veilant Company is a mission-focused company dedicated to protecting the most sensitive national security programs and technologies. From advanced R&D to classified operations, we provide proactive protection throughout the lifecycle of our customers' missions.

We are growing our team and looking to bring on a Contracts Manager who understands the real-world impact of getting the details right. This role is ideal for someone who is fluent in FAR/DFARS, experienced in supporting complex government contracts and proposals, and motivated to contribute to a team where contracts are strategic and mission-critical, not just administrative.

What You’ll Do

As a Contracts Manager at System High, you will manage a portfolio of U.S. government contracts from pre-award to closeout. You will:

  • Lead the review, negotiation, and management of government and commercial contracts, subcontracts, and modifications (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQs)
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations while advising internal stakeholders on contractual risk and mitigation
  • Partner with Business Development to support proposal development, including pricing strategy, Model Contract Volumes, OCI, NDAs, and Teaming Agreements
  • Maintain complete, audit-ready contract files and ensure all contract deliverables are met
  • Support internal coordination across Security, Finance, Program Management, and Legal to align contract terms with execution needs
  • Oversee contract administration activities including funding tracking, deliverables, and closeouts

What You’ll Accomplish in Your First Six Months

  • Take ownership of a portfolio of active DoD and IC contracts, leading reviews, any active negotiations, managing execution risks and success from a contracts lens and ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS
  • Partner cross-functionally with BD, Finance, Security, and PMs to support proposals, streamline processes, and improve contract execution
  • Identify and implement at least one improvement to a contract management process to increase efficiency or reduce risk
Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in government contract management with focus on managing prime contracts
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and applicable agency supplements
  • Experience supporting a variety of contract types including FFP, Cost Plus with varying Incentive Fee structures (AF, FF, IF), T&M, and IDIQs
  • Demonstrated success in proposal development, contract negotiation and advising internal teams
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments along with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

Nice to Haves:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
  • Experience supporting classified programs or cleared environments
  • Proposal writing
  • Prior experience working with contract management systems or compliance tools
  • Experience with contract audits and closeouts (DCAA, DCMA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Government, or a related field

Additional Information

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
