Job description

Build a Career Leading Complex Environmental Projects

Winter Environmental is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on asbestos abatement, lead abatement, mold remediation, and selective interior demolition projects throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in the field, understands production-driven work, and knows how to safely execute technically challenging projects in industrial, commercial, healthcare, institutional, and government facilities.

We're looking for leaders who can build strong crews, maintain production schedules, and deliver projects safely while working alongside clients, consultants, and project managers.

Travel is required. Company-paid travel expenses and per diem are provided when applicable.

What You'll Do
  • Lead asbestos abatement, lead abatement, mold remediation, and selective interior demolition projects from mobilization through closeout.
  • Supervise field personnel while maintaining safe, productive job sites.
  • Plan daily work activities, manpower requirements, equipment, and material needs.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, job briefings, and production planning.
  • Direct containment construction, decontamination systems, regulated work areas, and final cleanup activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, AHERA, state asbestos regulations, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with industrial hygienists, consultants, inspectors, and client representatives.
  • Maintain project documentation including daily reports, waste shipment records, manifests, equipment logs, and production tracking.
  • Communicate project progress, manpower needs, schedule updates, and field issues with project managers.
  • Mentor foremen and field personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years of experience supervising asbestos abatement, environmental remediation, or demolition projects.
  • Current Asbestos Supervisor certification (or ability to obtain based on state licensing requirements).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, AHERA, and applicable state regulations.
  • Experience leading crews on active industrial or commercial job sites.
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, and work plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER
  • Lead Supervisor or EPA RRP Certification
  • Experience working on government, industrial, healthcare, or manufacturing projects.
  • Multi-state asbestos licensing experience.
  • Experience managing multiple crews and large-scale environmental projects.
