Job description

Position: Program Engineer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Sales
Location: Remote, NA based (Role reports to APAC Leadership)
Overview: The Program Engineer is a key sale team member, providing support and consultation on a global scale for work tooled/textured in the Asia Pacific region. In addition to interfacing with customers directly, this role acts as a liaison to internal stakeholders (sales, operations) in peer regions to ensure timely communication, job tracking/updates, consult, and problem resolution for customer work in APAC. As a trusted and professional sales team member, the Program Engineer promotes the combined offerings of Standex Engraving.
Experience and Education:
  • University degree (4 yr) or above.
  • Relevant working experience in project or program management; experience in mold industry projects is preferred; familiar with project team collaboration and project execution processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proactive and results-driven with strong execution; cheerful personality, eager to learn new knowledge with good adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with a strong sense of responsibility Basic Chinese communication preferred. Flexible working hours.
  • Detail orientated
  • Good communication of technical details is essential, both verbally and written
  • Self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively interface with an array of customer personalities, in various situations. Strong collaboration skills to work cross functionally.
  • Accurate transcription of information - proficient data entry skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite. Experience with SAP (or another ERP system) desired.
  • Problem solving and technical aptitude essential
  • Ability to travel as needed: approximately 30% - 40% domestic, and 3-4 internationally trips annually.

Essential Duties:
  • Responsible for end-to-end program management, including program and project planning, progress tracking, cost control, risk identification and problem-solving, to ensure projects are delivered on time and with qualified quality.
  • Develop a strong consultative relationship with customers
  • Promote the combined offerings of Standex Engraving (Chemical, Laser, Tool Finishing, etc.)
  • Provide customers with technical support and solutions (tooling, molded parts, etc.)
  • Manage the details of upcoming jobs to ensure that tools are ready to move through the texturing process when they arrive at facility
  • Accurate and timely dissemination of information
  • Performs intermediate to advanced part mark-ups texture line-ups
  • Attends customer meetings
  • Communicate with customers on requirements, coordinate with internal departments including production, engineering and quality, allocate resources effectively, and promote cross-departmental communication and collaboration.
  • Manage program documentation, organize meetings, prepare progress reports. Control key program milestones, and standardize program management processes.
