Job Summary:
This position is responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with healthcare providers, and expanding our market presence within the assigned area of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of selling laboratory testing services along with the ability to work independently while achieving ambitious targets. This is a remote role covering the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast territory.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for selling laboratory services for dialysis/CKD, diagnostics, transplant/post-transplant, and other future testing that Ascend will offer to hospitals, clinics, physician offices,ย and other potential partners within the United States and potentially abroad
  • Establishes, maintains, and strengthens client relationships at the appropriate levels. Generates and delivers qualified opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, networking, and strategic partnerships
  • Showcase Ascend Clinicalโ€™s capabilities to potential clients. Ability to differentiate Ascend Clinical from competitors
  • Develops and maintains actionable account plans
  • Creates and evaluates quotations for services and provides inputs to ensure client and company requirements are met
  • Provide input of business plans on the market vision through desk research (legislation, market demand, trends and developments, competitor analysis)
  • Maintain face-to-face contact with customers and develop multi-level and cross functional relationships with key customers
  • Responsible for opportunity management and accurate pipeline forecasting
  • Collaborates effectively with Ascend leadership to bring potential opportunities to their attention and to identify and win projects. Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required
  • Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timeliness

Qualifications:
  • Understanding and knowledge of laboratory testing and ability to explain and sell to prospective clients. Ability to clearly engage on benefits of Ascendโ€™s laboratory fit. 5+ years sales experience required
  • Bonus if have experience with dialysis/CKD, diagnostics, or transplant
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time for client meetings, trade shows, industry meetings, and events
  • Competent computer skills, including MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation skills
  • Detail oriented, critical and analytical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills
Compensation:
- $175,000-$225,000 OTE
