Job description

We are seeking a Korean-speaking Certified Medical Assistant (or LPN/LVN) to join our growing virtual care team at 1bios. In this fully remote role, you will work directly with patients to help manage chronic conditions and improve health outcomes — all from home, with a consistent schedule and no in-person clinical responsibilities.

You should expect to spend most of your day on the phone and computer, including making approximately 30–70 outbound calls per day. Candidates who are not comfortable in a high-volume, phone-based role will not be a fit for this position.

This role is best suited for candidates who are comfortable with a high volume of daily phone outreach and patient communication.

This role is structured as a 1099 independent contractor position.

Korean Speaking Certified Medical Assistant Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a panel of patients (up to 225), providing monthly care and support via phone and electronic communication under physician supervision

  • Create electronic alert escalations and otherwise notify physicians and nurses based on pre-established rules regarding changes in patient status
  • Skilled in using computers, software, and technology
  • Strong verbal, phone, written and electronic communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently (i.e. outside of an office).
  • Ability to work in an environment that is free of outside noise (so others can hear you well) and private from others hearing your conversations on the phone (so your conversations are private)
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow with our organization.
  • A desire to help others.
  • Remote Patient Monitoring or Chronic Care Management experience preferred.
