Accounts Payable Specialist
Cincinnati, Ohio (Remote - must reside in Cincinnati, OH)
$19.00-$ 21.00/hour
First Shift
Contract-to-Hire
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering first shift hours with the flexibility to work remotely. Candidates must be located in the Cincinnati area.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process a high volume of invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system
  • Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents (3-way match)
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address invoice or payment issues
  • Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
  • Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
