With a competitive benefits package, an engaging culture, and ample opportunities for career advancement, Katapult is committed to investing in its people.
Position Overview
The Katapult Field Retail Growth Manager reports to the Head of National Field Retail Sales & Growth and serves as Katapult's primary in-market representative across assigned Southeast retail territories.
This role is responsible for driving adoption, revenue growth, operational execution, and partner engagement across franchise, regional, district, and store leadership. The Field Retail Sales & Growth Manager ensures seamless delivery of Katapult's financial services across omnichannel partners while serving as the trusted field liaison between retail partners and internal Katapult teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Relationship & Revenue Leadership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, regional leaders, district managers, and store and support teams. Influence key stakeholders to drive adoption, increase program penetration, and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for assigned partners, proactively resolving issues, protecting revenue, and maintaining a strong "save the sale" mindset.
  • Monitor performance through reporting dashboards and store-level metrics, identifying trends, outliers, and performance gaps. Develop targeted action plans with retail leadership to improve application volume, approval rates, take rate, and overall program utilization.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the local leadership and execute grassroots strategies to expand awareness, advocacy, and utilization of Katapult's lease-to-own solution.
  • Partner with store teams to identify and eliminate friction points-resolving issues, refining workflows, and simplifying execution-so associates can confidently adopt the process and consistently succeed.

Program Execution & Operational Excellence
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of Katapult's lease-to-own program from pre-launch collaboration through post-implementation optimization.
  • Conduct regular store visits, audits, and structured business reviews to assess performance, reinforce standards, and implement action plans.
  • Ensure adherence to Katapult policies, operational guidelines, merchandising standards, and applicable compliance requirements. Coach retail teams on corrective actions when necessary.

Training, Enablement & Engagement
  • Lead onboarding and ongoing training for retail sales associates, store leadership, and field operations teams.
  • Deliver workshops focused on selling strategies, customer experience excellence, and operational best practices to drive sustained engagement and performance improvement.
  • Deliver targeted training sessions for stores or individual associates to deepen product knowledge and strengthen selling skills.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Feedback
  • Monitor competitive activity, market dynamics, and field performance trends across assigned territories.
  • Provide actionable insights and structured feedback to Retail Operations & Growth leadership to inform reporting enhancements, infrastructure improvements, and expansion strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functional with Business Development, Client Success, Marketing, Risk, and Operations to ensure seamless program execution.
  • Celebrate wins and share best practices with associates to help everyone drive results and deliver best-in-class customer service.

Brand Representation & Event Engagement
  • Represent Katapult at retail field meetings, partner events, and industry gatherings to strengthen relationships and elevate brand presence.
  • Support local marketing initiatives and ensure proper merchandising and point-of-purchase materials are executed effectively in store.
  • Provide hands-on training during key events and weekends, supporting associates in real-time transactions and through role-playing exercises to build confidence and comfort.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years retail store leadership experience required (Store Manager, District Manager, Franchise Operator, or multi-unit leadership strongly preferred).
  • Experience within financial services required; near-prime or non-prime lending experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead through partnership in environments without direct authority.
  • Strong operational acumen with the ability to analyze performance reporting, identify trends and outliers, and translate insights into actionable field strategies.
  • Proven experience driving behavior change and adoption at the store level.
  • Strong presentation and training capabilities with the ability to engage and motivate frontline sales teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage a multi-state territory independently.
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and executive presence.
