Job description

Overview

The Geospatial Information System (GIS) Engineering Designer is responsible for analyzing spatial data for pipeline routing, and asset management. They create maps, maintain geospatial databases, and support regulatory compliance by integrating field data, satellite imagery, and surveys to assist geologists and engineers.

Responsibilities

Develop, update, and maintain GIS databases, maps, and datasets.

Create detailed mapping products to support engineering design, construction, and operations.

Analyze geospatial data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.

Support pipeline, facility, or infrastructure projects through spatial design and layout.

Integrate GIS data with engineering drawings and systems.

Perform quality control on data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers and field systems to gather and validate data.

Collect field data using GPS, or mobile GIS tools when needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)

Proficiency with GIS software

Experience with CAD tools

Experience working with GPS data collection and field mapping tools.

Must meet conditional job offer requirements.

Must Live within 45 miles of Kenedy, TX.
