Role: IT Security Project Manager Contract to Hire 100% REMOTE - must be ok working east coast hours.

Must Haves:

5 years of proven IT Project Management experience • Strong with Google (They do not use Microsoft for their PM tools) • Strong in Jira and Confluence • MUST be a go-getting, excellent in chaos/problem solver • Communication is HUGE

Job Description: Position Summary

The IT Security Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT Security projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes aligning resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party vendors in order to deliver projects according to plan. The IT Security Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver strong progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, presentations and audit trails in support of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Lead change management and user adoption efforts.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Proven experience in managing IT security projects (e.g., implementing security frameworks, incident response, vulnerability management, access control).
  • Strong understanding of security principles, technologies, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a significant plus.
  • Experience with fashion retail industry operations and IT systems is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Atlassian Cloud - specifically Jira and Confluence, Miro)
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.
