IT Support Technician

Job Description

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining and supporting on-demand IT and subscription-based managed network services. The IT Support Technician's goal is to ensure the optimal operation of our customers' networks primarily via a remote service help desk environment.

Job Duties

  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware.
  • Work with clients remotely to diagnose and repair technical issues.
  • Ensure the efficiency and security of customer networks.
  • Assist with client network infrastructure installs.
  • Maintain and monitor managed client WIFI systems.
  • Update customer equipment with software patches and firmware.
  • Administer and maintain client security suite.
  • Provide remote support to company IT technicians and support staff.
  • Perform basic network administration tasks for users and email clients, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot any type of IT customer issue and resolve quickly.

Requirements

  • Must be exceptionally detail oriented.
  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills both in comprehension and expression.
  • Must be highly skilled using remote IT diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Must have an excellent understanding of all commercial sales products and their use case, especially on demand IT and managed services.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond positively in high priority situations.
  • Must be flexible to meet the needs of customers including evening or weekends, if necessary.
  • Must be able to travel offsite to meet with customers and/or AMA departments.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in IT or related industry preferred.
