JOB SUMMARY:
Security Analysts (SA) are responsible for the management of security, organizational, and/or operational requirements; as well as being involved in support of core IT security functions and risk management processes. The security analyst elicits, analyzes, validates, and documents security requirements and related compliance and risk mitigation activities. SAs provide applicable security assessments to assist in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications as well as enhancements to existing applications, hardware, and external software. SAs support the following fields within the IT organization: Business Intelligence, Customer Service, Digital Solutions, Engineering Systems & Product Development, Infrastructure, Data Analytics & Automation, Project Management and SAP.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Security related data gathering and analysis

  • Project management and status updates

  • Cross-functional IT organization and internal team interaction and collaboration/support on projects

  • Participate in developing IT security process improvements and troubleshooting issues

  • Support identity and access management, incident response/plan, and/or other related cyber security functions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in:
  • Cybersecurity

  • Management Information Systems

  • Computer Science/Applied Computing Science

  • Other related technical fields

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Professional and diplomatic demeanor

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Action oriented and seizes opportunities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks

  • General knowledge of cybersecurity concepts/practices and business acumen

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
