Job description

About the role and team

Interns and early-career talent at Uber don't just observe-they build. As a University Recruiter, you are the architect of that first experience, finding the hungry, curious, and adaptable minds that will shape our future. This isn't a typical high-volume recruiting role; it is a high-stakes mission to bridge the digital and real worlds by identifying potential where others see only a blank resume. You will navigate the fast-paced, often ambiguous landscape of campus cycles, apprenticeship programs, and internal events, all while moving with the urgency and care that Uber's mission demands.

The work is real, and so is the pressure. You'll need to stay steady during peak hiring seasons, balancing the excitement of student webinars with the grit required to manage complex full-cycle pipelines. Success here means moving beyond transactional coordination to become a strategic advisor and requires both deep recruiting expertise and the ability to act as a versatile utility player, stepping into priority needs across the broader uBecome team.

What you'll do

  • Own the full-cycle recruiting process for non-techinical intern and New College Grad candidates,  creating a world-class candidate experience.
  • Design and execute scalable yet tailored sourcing strategies at events, webinars, and conferences, acting as a brand ambassador.
  • Navigate and cultivate successful relationships between academic institutions and internal industry groups, influencing hiring managers with data-backed insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the People team and business leaders to solve logistical hurdles and unblock hiring bottlenecks in a fast-changing environment.
  • Communicate complex recruitment findings and reporting to hiring teams, providing clarity and direction on university strategy and candidate trends.
  • Act as a versatile utility player, jumping in to support strategic TA initiatives whenever needed with a focus on ownership and integrity.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in recruiting with specific experience in Early Careers or University Talent Acquisition.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing stakeholders and driving data-informed hiring decisions in a fast-paced, global tech environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the resilience to adapt to shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Passion for candidate experience and a deep understanding of the unique stressors of the student job hunt.
  • Innovation-led mindset with a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work autonomously on ambiguous tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ready to Ride?

This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook - it's where you help write one. If you're driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves - we'd love to hear from you.
