• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders to identify their specific needs, goals, and barriers to recovery.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
• Facilitate engaging individual counseling sessions, drawing from diverse therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
• Lead group therapy sessions to create a supportive community for individuals in recovery, focusing on shared experiences and mutual encouragement.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists to ensure that clients receive coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Provide crisis intervention services during substance-related emergencies, maintaining a calm and supportive presence to manage immediate needs.
• Educate patients and their families regarding addiction, promoting understanding of the recovery process and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring high-quality record-keeping.

This role specifically targets students grappling with substance use disorders within a school-based environment. • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a mental health or substance use disorder treatment setting, particularly with a focus on individual and group therapy.
• Strong understanding of substance use disorders, recovery-oriented care, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to clients and families.

• Experience working in school-based settings or with adolescent populations related to substance use disorder treatment.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and cultural competency in handling a diverse client base.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for remote therapy sessions.

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually.
