What is a Remote International Robotics Engineer?

A Remote International Robotics Engineer is a professional who designs, develops, and maintains robotic systems while working from a remote location, often collaborating with global teams and clients. These engineers use their expertise in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to build and improve robots for various industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics. They leverage digital tools to communicate, program, and troubleshoot robotics solutions without being physically present at the site. This role requires strong technical skills, adaptability, and the ability to work across different time zones and cultures.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote International Robotics Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote International Robotics Engineer, a strong background in robotics engineering, programming (such as Python or C++), automation systems, and a relevant engineering degree are essential. Familiarity with CAD software, robotic simulation tools (like ROS), and certifications in robotics or automation technologies are typically required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, cross-cultural communication, and self-motivation are standout soft skills for remote collaboration across time zones. These competencies are vital to ensure effective development, integration, and support of robotic systems in diverse, international environments.

How do Remote International Robotics Engineers typically collaborate with global teams to develop and deploy robotics solutions?

Remote International Robotics Engineers frequently work with cross-functional teams across different time zones, using tools like video conferencing, project management platforms, and collaborative coding environments. They often participate in regular virtual stand-ups, design reviews, and troubleshooting sessions with colleagues from various countries. Effective communication and clear documentation are essential, as much of the coordination happens asynchronously. This collaborative structure allows engineers to leverage diverse expertise and perspectives, but it also requires adaptability to differing work cultures and schedules.

What is the difference between Remote International Robotics Engineer vs Remote International Automation Engineer?

Job description

Field AIย is transforming how robots interact with the real world. We are building risk-aware, reliable, and field-ready AI systems that address the most complex challenges in robotics, unlocking the full potential of embodied intelligence. We go beyond typical data-driven approaches or pure transformer-based architectures, and are charting a new course, with already-globally-deployed solutions delivering real-world results and rapidly improving models through real-field applications.

Are you driven by the challenge of building next-generation AI-powered robotics? Do you thrive at the intersection of advanced autonomy, real-world deployment, and AI-native decision-making? We are seeking a Robotics AI Engineer โ€“ Field Foundation Models & Dynamics Foundation Models to push the boundaries of risk-aware, self-evolving robotic intelligence. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement cutting-edge AI-driven planning and control architectures, ensuring our robots operate seamlessly in unstructured, high-stakes environments. This is your opportunity to redefine the future of embodied AI, working alongside a world-class team that values bold innovation, hands-on execution, and AI-first engineering. If you're eager to build autonomy that adapts, learns, and makes decisions with intelligence beyond traditional models, we want to hear from you!
What You Will Get To Do
  • Algorithm Development
  • Design and implement next-generation AI-powered Field Foundation Models (FFMs) and Dynamics Foundation Models (DFMs). Pioneer risk-aware, uncertainty-driven decision-making architectures that enable autonomous robots to navigate unstructured, high-stakes environments.
  • Reimagine planning algorithms, trajectory optimization, and task scheduling as a fusion of probabilistic reasoning, geometric intelligence, and adaptive AI, ensuring precise and reliable robot motion in dynamic environments.
ย
  • Software Integration and Testing
  • Work extensively with ROS (Robot Operating System) to develop, test, and integrate next-gen autonomous intelligence modules modules.
  • Design, implement, and test real-world and simulation- learning loops, where self-evolving models refine planning, control, and perception through real-world interaction. Conduct field tests to validate performance and optimize system behavior.
