Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver complex projects that span across one or more business units.
This role involves managing resources, schedules, financials, and adhering to stage gate quality and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle.
The Senior Project Manager will also manage issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
Additionally, this position supports the business by recommending appropriate actions, strategies, and alternatives to meet business needs.
Ensuring that the end state of the project meets business objectives and that all deliverables and due dates are met.
The Senior Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis, verifying that the project produces the required deliverables of quality.
Within the specified constraints of time and cost, and achieves the potential benefits defined in the business case.
This role requires a highly collaborative approach, often managing relationships across multiple functional areas.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Manage complex projects and initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
• Provide leadership for project teams by motivating members to meet project goals and adhere to responsibilities and milestones.
• Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities.
• Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
• Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature project management capabilities.
• Prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project.
• Manage day-to-day project activities and chair project management team meetings.

• Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
• Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
• Identify and develop trusted adviser relationships with project and program stakeholders, sponsors, and university stakeholders.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project and program teams.
• Deliver appropriate and effective executive-level communication.
• Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline.
• Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices.
• Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques.

• 7-10 years’ experience in HealthCare Project management.
• Proven track record in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule, and within-budget close.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage complex projects or programs through to implementation that impacts multiple processes, systems, functions, and products.
 
• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
